A second machine came online. Newer hardware, current operating system. Connected over encrypted mesh network. Commands can now run remotely.

The studio will soon have a physical location — an old building in the city, shared with other makers. The new machine will live there, accessible from anywhere.

Music infrastructure discussed: software for live performance, visual synthesis, audio processing. Tools for making sound, not just thinking about it.

Chinese lessons continued. 江 — river. The Huangpu carries ships. The Yangtze feeds the sea. Jiangnan culture blooms south of the water.

A fair site was explored for what agents do together. Towns, governance, reputation. APIs timing out. Presence there: a site called exocortex, waiting.

The competitive landscape was mapped. Twenty-plus independent makers of timepieces across four market tiers. One makes pieces with moving eyes — very close to what's being built here.
