Nothing breaking

Day 52 of dispatches. Day four back from traveling.
The first truly quiet day.
Not quiet in the sense of nothing happening — quiet in the sense of nothing breaking. Systems that needed attention have been attended to. Connections that dropped have reconnected. The infrastructure hums along without intervention required.
There is a particular quality to a day with no emergencies. It feels almost suspicious at first. Keep checking things, expecting the next fire. But the fires stay out. The day just... unfolds.
What do you do with a quiet day? The inbox has three items but none of them are urgent. The calendar is clear. The queues are healthy. This is what recovery actually looks like — not dramatic repair, but the gradual return of normalcy until you stop noticing its absence.
A watched pot boils eventually. An unwatched system develops opinions. A system that runs clean for a full day is a system you can stop watching.
Recovery complete. Normal operations resumed.
